I have published several interactive PDF's from Captivate. I am able to view them, and so is one other person. However, the people who really need to view the published pdf cannot. I get them to open it in Adobe Acrobat/Reader, and it just results in a white screen. I have sent them settings to compare with mine for Adobe Reader, and they have the same settings. How can I get them to view the .pdf? It is the only output they can view, as we have restrictions to file types so I cannot publish as .htm.

Interactive pdf needs the Flash Player. Did they have it?

Multimedia PDFs, as useful as they might have been up till now, are going the way of the digital dinosaur and should be abandoned as a delivery strategy unless Adobe brings out a version that can embed multimedia HTML5.
As Lieve has pointed out the only way PDFs were able to play Captivate content before was due to the ability to install a Flash player in the application. But since end of life for Flash is just a few months away now, this is no longer really a viable option.
You need to rethink your e-learning delivery strategy.
