Upgrades CP

Explorer ,
Sep 16, 2015 Sep 16, 2015

Upgrade from CP6 to CP7 = 358 EUR

Upgrade from CP7 to CP8 = 467 EUR

Upgrade from CP8 to CP9 = 538 EUR

in Middle East Europe area.

Upgrade from CP8 to CP9 = 449 USD (410 EUR)

in USA region.

Nice, isnt it?  Thanks Adobe.

Shipping e-licenses from USA to Middle East Europe is so expansive and difficult - via internet. You need 120 EUR extra money for this process.

Stupid and ill.

But I need Captivate. I love Captivate.

I hate Adobe and their overfed red shareholders. Bleeee

This may not necessarily be Adobe jacking up the price.

There is such a thing as Taxation.  Governments love it.

Thanks Rod, but this is not about taxations. Long years the same.

This problem is similar like crazy road with CC model. I have spended thousands EUR for every upgrade form CS2 to CS6, includes ELS 2, ELS 2.5., ELS6. But now - this is too much 538 EUR for upgrade to CP9 + 238 EUR for upgrade to Presenter 11. Only two softwares. Perhaps, solution:

switch_btn.addEventListener(PaymentEvent.EXPANSIVE, gotoFlashCS6);

function gotoFlashCS6(evt:OlderPaymentEvent): void {

if(upgradeCP9 == "UnaccetableExpansive"):

returnToFlashCS6 = true; //for rich development

stayWithCP8 = true; //for simulations and rapid dev

stayWithPN10 = true; //for presentations

else():

gotoAndUpgrade(CP9);

break();

}

Cute.  Love the programming joke.

What I was suggesting is that a large proportion of the upgrade cost could be due to government duty/tax on imported digital goods.  That's not to say that Adobe hasn't also increased their prices, but as a business that's their prerogative.

As to why they haven't included Captivate and Presenter in the Creative Cloud, my guess would be that the bean counters in their Accounts department have also crunched the numbers on that decision and found that they make more money by keeping these apps OUT of the CC.  Again, Adobe is a business.  They're in it for the money.
