Uploading PowerPoint in Captivate 2019

I am using Captivate 11.5.5.678 for Mac and am unable to upload PowerPoint files. When I try, it briefly (for a tantalizing second) shows me a beautiful uploaded version of the training, then goes into "converting" mode and throws up a window asking me if I want to convert the slides. At this point, it will not let me click "OK" or anything else, and essentially freezes up. I have tried multiple times and no luck. Please help.

It may be a permissions issue and/or mac-specific issue. I don't have a Mac available, currently. What I would do is to try a simple PowerPoint conversion file. Create a single slide PowerPoint file with just a simple text. Save. Cloes PowerPoint. Try to import. If that fails, it is probably something more systemic. If that succeeds, you may want to try to start trying to create smaller versions of your PowerPoint file to see if you can determine an issue.

I am not really a big fan of just importing PowerPoint files into Captivate. All it really does is create an image of each slide and place a Hot Spot on top of it, so when clicked goes to the next slide. Worse-case scenario, you can export all of your slides as images from PowerPoint and manually create that same process.

Thanks for the advice. I tried importing as images on a previous training and the results were not great. I have access to Storyline and have discovered it works much better for this use-case.
