Using the mouse

What is the best way to use and edit this.  I am having issues managing the mouse without recording it and editing it in the recorded option.  Can a blank slide show work just as good as the recorded one?  Captivate 9

Could you explain bit more? Are you talking about a cptx or a cpvc project? Which type of editing the mouse object are you talking about?

Hi there

As you are talking about a blank project, it's likely it isn't a Video Demo recording. So all you should have to do is enable the mouse for the slides where you want it, Then adjust where you want the mouse pointer to be.

Cheers... Rick

‌The first slide I am able to edit the mouse.  I see the red dots to adjust it.  The second slide, the mouse is going in the opposite direction and I cannot access the red dots to adjust it.

I Also would like to use the mouse on the same slide for multiple images.  Can this be done?‌

The red dots are there on the first slide using the mouse so that you can adjust the starting point.  But from then on each successive slide's starting point is taken from the ENDING mouse location on the previous slide.  This is to make the mouse movements from slide to slide look seamless.

You can only have one mouse movement per slide.  If you want multiple movements, you need multiple slides.  No exceptions.

Thank you for that answer.  I am creating a mobile app instruction video is presentation.  What is the best way to do this?  I am trying to make it look like it is live movement.

Just keep going with only one mouse movement per slide or else forget about using slide-by-slide capture and use Video Demo instead.  That becomes a video file, but at least the movement will be exactly what you saw as you captured.

Definitely use video demo slides (also called 'cpvc-slides' from its extension) to show complicated mouse movements.

Ok, here is my question on that.  Do you video tape each slide separately?  Also, can you edit the photos in the video mode?

What I tried doing was adding 3 photos to one slide in the blank project and have them move separately.  Obviously this was not working and it was hard to get it to work.

Do I just vido tape each individual slide with the first step, second step and so on?

Thank you
