I have Captivate 11.5 and just started using the Creative Cloud to work with the videos. I just got my PC upgraded to Windows 11.
I added closed captions to a video in Premiere. The video is over 2 hours long.
I need to create a SCORM with that video. I went to Captivate and created a 5 slide course. The last slide is the video.
Problem: I tried adding the video using the Event Video and the Slide Video. Either way, when I preview the slide it does not show up.
I made sure the last slide was the length of the video. The video is set to Autoplay. With the Pause Slide until the end of the video, I've tried it both ways (checked and unchecked).
I've read some hints that said to publish it but i get an error saying the file is not found. The link shown adds extra stuff to the path ((path to video)\vr\Vi1.mp4)
When I added the Creative Cloud, the Media Encoder upgraded to the latest version. Could that be causing the problem? Can I have more than 1 Media Encoder?
Any help will be wonderful!
Version 11.5 is not compatible with Win11. You need to install 11.8.
2hrs is very long for a cptx course. It is recommended to use streaming video in that case, but I don't know if you have access to a streaming service.
You mentioned 'Preview'. In your version the only preview method which is valid is F11, Preview HTML in Browser. Beware: since the video needs to be uploaded completely when entering the slide with the video this means that you'll have to wait quite a long time.
You could try to

You could try to post the video on YouTube and insert it that way (which means it will be as slide video). I would never recommend to embed this video as you did because the load time could be several minutes.

Thanks. I thought that might be the case. Time to upgrade Captivate!

Just a warning: 11.8 is only available as subscription license, hope you are not on a perpetual license at this moment!

I was aware about the change in licenses for Captivate. I don't pay for it,so I'm not too worried.
