Web Object application menu

Does anyone know how to get the app menu back for web objects? I have inserted a pdf but don't get the pdf menu inside of the web object. I watched a Paul Wilson video and he has it so I just need to figure out where to tell it to show.

By PDF menu, do you mean the TOC on the PDF?

Or something else?
