I would really like to start using Adobe Captivate 12 to build responsive courses but it is still impossible to design a useable course because of the lack of focus on basic design needs.
Major case in point... It is impossible to add video into a course.
If I try to add video into a course Captivate does something utterly ridiculous with the layout. It creates a horrible black wrapper around the outside of the video that it is impossible to manage. For example Here I have added a video. I can adjust the size and position of the video by tweaking the size of the padding around it and in doing so, I can remove most of the black padding around it.
But look what happens when I switch to mobile phone view...
This is completely unusable and If I try to adjust the padding to make this fit like so...
Look what happens to desktop view...
Captivate could be a great product but this makes it totally unuasable for any professional course builds.

It is also really annoying that I can't edit my own posts on here.
The title should have been 'When will Adobe....' not 'Whe aill Adobe....'

This is an essential features, that I can't believe isn't sorted yet. It's literally embarrassing showing a project with videos to a client.

This problem existed already in classic Cp. Though I think one could set the color for this kind of 'letterboxing'. It's of course related to the aspect ratio of a video.
Maybe as a workaround put the video into an HTML5 video tag, put in online and present it in Cp in an Web Object. Just thinking.

I agree. The black wrapper looks amateur and needs to be sorted quickly. Other responsive apps can do it without a black wrapper!
