When I run Captivate 9 the splash screen appears giving a choice of 'new project' etc. but I can't click on it and the whole program hangs.

Hi experts,

Does anyone know of a fix, please?

I've got a subscription to Captivate 9 on a MacBook Pro (Retina, OSx 10.11.6)

Captivate will not successfully run, it keeps hanging when launched from a project, Applications folder, docked icon, desktop and so on.

Please help! I have an urgent project due. Any suggestions at all would be wonderful!

I tried one suggestion from an earlier post, without success:

  • In case you do not have any older version of Captivate installed on your machine, please search for “Creative Cloud” Application.
  • Click on the Downside arrow from top right and go to Preferences
  • Under General tab, Click “Sign Out”
  • Now please launch Captivate 9 and try to Sign in again .

Hi Penny,

Came across this in another thread. Mac User same problem

"Updating to 9.0.2.437 resolved this issue for me. Best to install via Help > Updates."

Cheers

Hi Penny,

I am a Windows guy, but lets see if we can troubleshoot this. A couple of questions

What version of Captivate are you using?

What exactly happens when you try to launch? Does it just hang for ever or do you get an error message?

Cheers

Steve
