Why can't others open the Captivate 8 zipped .SWF files I send by e-mail?

Even though their Flash players are updated and they are doing everything properly, they can only see a blank blue screen when they try to open my files.

Hi there

They will first need to UNZIP the entire package.

Cheers... Rick

Thanks for the reply! They say they are unzipping it properly, but I'll double check on that.

Yeah, it's definitely worth double-checking. Now that Windows will show a zip file on the left and its contents on the right, many folks think they operate just fine in the operating system and they get confused when things don't work. I had a client just the other day that was experiencing this exact thing. The report was that "suddenly" nobody could view their content. When I asked if IT had implemented a browser change, they said no. Only after seeing first hand what was going wrong was I able to figure out they had been just looking at the zip and double-clicking the HTML file inside and things were screeching to a halt.

Cheers... Rick
