Why preview 'from this slide' not working?

I do have Adobe Captivate 9.

When I click on Preview - > From this slide, it starts playing, but after playing 2 or 3 slides it is getting paused and the play button becomes enabled again. If I click play again it starts playing, but again after few slides it get paused again.

But one month back I generated video using adobe captivate. Then it used to work fine. All the slides used to play simultaneously.

I also notice now the generated files name is name.cptx*

But previously it was name.cptx

There was no * at the end.

It is not possible to work with the preview clicking play button multiple times.

Can you please suggest what is wrong?

Regards

Azmiri

If the playback is pausing, requiring you to click the Play button again, then you have some interactive object on the slide that is set to pause the timeline.

Do you know what an interactive object is in Captivate?

Do you know what the timeline is?

Do you know how to set timing of an object so that it does not pause the timeline?

Have a look at this blog post about pausing the timeline. Personally understanding the Timeline is number one on the priority list for any Captivate user. A video is totally different from an interactive project.

Thank You

As I was recording the Software Simulation in Training mode, so I was having Click Box object, which is an interactive object, and that is why my slide was pausing each time whenever there is an interactive object.

Later I recorded my Software Simulation in Demo mode and then there was no interactive object in my slide anymore. Instead of Click Box it was being recorded as Mouse object and my preview played smoothly.
