I have a slide with two image rollovers and two buttons. The two buttons are choices and one has a correct message and the other has an incorrect message. Unfortunately, the second button, the incorrect one, won't show the incorrect message. Is there something about two buttons in the same space that makes this not work?
The two buttons have no action other than to show the correct or incorrect response. I have a separate button, with the stop at the end of the slide, allowing users to click to advance to the next slide.
Just call me frustrated.
I'll add my own questions.
Is the CORRECT feedback message that the first button gives when clicked just its own Correct caption (with that button's Incorrect caption deselected)?
And did you expect that the INCORRECT feedback message would appear for the second button by doing the opposite of above (turning off the Correct feedback and leaving the Incorrect feedback caption turned on)?
Or are the captions that are supposed to appear when these two buttons are clicked shown purely by Advanced Actio

Hey Frustrated,
I have a question. When you say "button" do you mean an actual button with 3 states or a smart shape with a click box over it. Also when you say it doesn't work do you mean in preview, publish or both? What happens when you click the one that doesn't work?
Cheers,
Steve

Yes, when I say button, I mean button (this time).
When I say it doesn't work, I mean it does not provide an incorrect message, though it does make a slightly irritating click sound (as it should per settings). When I say it doesn't work, I mean in preview (standard) and in preview in browser.
Though your reminder that some functionality that does not work in preview does work in the browser helped me with my post on the image rollover problem.

Wanted to ask similar questions as Rod did, but also would like to see the timeline of that slide.
Common misunderstanding could be if you are using the inbuilt feedback messages: since clicking on the wrong button should show an 'Incorrect feedback', you have to edit the Correct feedback container (shape or caption) because that is the one that pops up on Success event, which means when clicking on that button.

OK guys, it is confession time. I had trouble with the two rollover images in preview, and assumed a similar problem with my two buttons on the same page. As you both suspected, the problem was (truly) the user (this time). I stupidly thought that the second option (button) being the wrong one would generate an "incorrect" upon click. The button had a different definition of correct; it assumed that correct meant the user clicked on the button. The fix is to deselect the Failure option, select the Success option, and change the message to read "Incorrect!"
(Lillybiri, I wrote this before reading your excellent explanation. I'm thinking others may experience the same issue, so two explanations are better than one.)

Kudos to Rod as well, he divined my problem ahead of both Lillybiri and I.

Is THAT why I've been so tired lately? I'm getting up in the wrong time-zone?
