zoom widget / rollover zoom image quality

I'm using Captivate 8 and would like to show learners two documents, with the option of allowing the learners to zoom in on the either document. I have tried both the zoom widget and the rollover zoom area, and both produce very blurry/grainy images of the document. I inserted the document as a JPG, and in the rollover zoom area I replaced the generated zoom area image with a larger image.

Does anyone have any other ideas?

Not sure, but I don't think using JPG is a good idea, you didn't tell which compression you used, but JPG is lossy? Did you try PNG24  which is lossless?
