Hello!

I'm curious if there is a way for learners to upload documents and complete the course once the documents have been submitted? I'd like to have a course that requires uploads then will allow the user to complete the course and move forward to the next course but only once they have uploaded documents. On the flip side, I don't want the course/module to be marked complete or move on to the next course if there is NOT a uploaded file.

Thanks!

Hi aubreyewillis,

You can create a Activity module in the course which will allow File Submission, you can also mark the modules as mandatory so that Learners will have to complete the all the modules in the course then only the course will be marked as Complete.

Moreover you can make the modules appear in Ordered list so that next module will only be enabled once the current module is completed.

Regards,

Apoorv

Hi apoorvs1729978,

Thanks for your response. When the file is uploaded it requires "instructor approval" before the course can be completed. How can I change that setting so that the "approval" doesn't keep the learner from moving on to the next course. I'd like the file upload itself (whether approved or not) to allow the learner to move on to the next course but in the same breath I don't want my courses to be completed "unordered"

You might try using dual Learning Plans (both triggered by completion of the same previous course).

- One Learning Plan could enroll a learner in a course with an Activity module for 'uploading' document.

- Another Learning Plan could enroll the learner in the 'next' learning object.

(I realize this does not meet the need to require upload before moving on.)
