As we continue to learn Prime and how we can use it to help manage our programs, we've learned that the concept of User Groups as implemented in Prime, are less useful that we expected.
We want to manage our training requirements and recertification through our user groups. The thought was that we could build a user group and then use the user group to assign learners to many courses and certifications and maintain those relationships through the user groupds.
While that works on the first day, it doesn't work after the initial setup.
Why?
Because when we add someone to that user group in the future, the courses we have assigned learners to, using that user group, are not automatically updated. That means that we now have to manually assign learners to those courses.
Am I missing something? Perhaps someone can help me understand the purpose of the user groups in Prime and how they are intended to be used over the long term?
Have something to add?
