The February 2021 release of Adobe Captivate Prime focuses on improving Learner Experience, Reporting and Administrative workflows. Some of the highlights include:

  • New filters to assist learners in searching for Trainings.
  • A brand-new Training Report for Administrators.
  • A new ‘trigger’ and ‘action’ in Learning Plans.

What's new and changed

Board view in social

A Learner can see all boards in a list view. Sign in to your learner app and in your Social Learning page and see the boards as a list.

Social banner Customization

The Administrator can customize the title and the subtitle that appear on the header image on the Social Learning homepage.

Catalog filters

As a learner, you can now filter training based on the format of training, for example, Classroom, Self-paced, or Virtual Classroom.

Unenrollment from training

When adding a Learning Plan, an Administrator can unenroll users from specific trainings based on certain triggers.

Import users from Salesforce contacts

Captivate Prime now enhances the Salesforce connector to fetch Contacts as well as Salesforce Users and import them into Captivate Prime automatically.

Updated AEM component

The AEM package for Captivate Prime has been updated. To download the latest package and for instructions, see Integrate Captivate Prime with AEM.

Weekly Digest Emails

Keep your learners continuously engaged with an out-of-the-box communication channel that sends weekly emails to learner groups with essential information such as upcoming trainings, consumption insights, course recommendations, and leaderboard status. Drive steady traffic back to your learning platform via these scheduled emails. 

Learning Checklist

Authors can now create a checklist course designed to evaluate the completion and success of mandatory steps in real-life work processes. Instructors can evaluate learners based on their demonstration and successful completion of each of the steps by providing a score or updating the pass/fail criteria. 

Adobe Marketo Engage Connector

Use data from your learning platform to drive automated marketing campaigns targeted towards your customers and partners using the Adobe Marketo Engage integration with Captivate Prime. Learning data such as user addition, course enrollments, course completions, and skill attainment can be exported from Captivate Prime to create rich audience lists in Adobe Marketo Engage.

Adobe Experience Manager Sites Learning Component

Now integrate Captivate Prime courses right within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Sites by taking advantage of the new learning component. Elements of the learner home page such as My Learning and course recommendations can automatically be synched to the AEM Sites front end using a nifty drag-and-drop workflow that avoids complex coding and expensive implementation costs.

The August 2020 release of Adobe Captivate Prime focuses on enhancing Administrator’s reporting capabilities by offering pre-configured reports that cover important aspects of the platform. 

 

In addition, there are many useful features around content management, APIs and more. Read on to find out more. 

 

Highlights of this release 

Reporting enhancements 

Administrators can now view ready-made reports to view the overall activity in the account. It helps the Administrator immensely to gauge the health of the account in three major aspects:   

  • Learning Summary  
  • User Activity  
  • Training content

Private content folders 

All contents of the Content Library in Captivate Prime are always visible to all authors, including custom authors. With this release, Administrator can configure private content folders and provide its access to specific custom-authors using Custom Roles.

Caption for videos 

Captivate Prime now supports captions for video content uploaded in Captivate Prime. Now, authors can upload the file containing captions, along with the video file. Then, the learners can view the captions during the playback of the video module.

PowerBI integration 

Captivate Prime now provides a way to export multiple reports like User data, Learner Transcript, Gamification, Feedback reports and more, as a unified dataset to Power BI. This allows Power BI users to merge the data from multiple reports to present much powerful analytics and visualizations in Power BI.

Custom FTP integration 

Captivate Prime already supports FTP services like Exavault and Box. In this update, Captivate Prime provides the ability to connect to a customer’s own custom FTP location.
