How to self-enroll into a specific instance of a course in a Learning Program

If you are a learner and you would like to enroll to a specific Instance of a course in a Learning Program, or if you are already enrolled in a course instance of which the session is expired, you can now select the desired instance to which you would like to enroll or switch to a different session to make progress.

 

This can be done only if the Learning Program is flexible.

 

Enrolling into a new Learning Program:

To enroll to a desired course instance, follow these steps:

  1. Open Catalogs > Learning Program. Open the Learning Program to which you would like to enroll.
  2. Use the radio buttons to choose if you want to view all courses or courses with unselected instances. Note that if you've has completed the course already, you cannot switch to another instance.

  3. The instance drop-down list for the course displays the available instances. Choose the instance from the drop-down list.
  4. Once all the instances have been selected, to enroll to the Learning Program, Click Enroll.

 

Changing course instance in a Learning Program to which you are already enrolled

To change course instance, follow these steps:

  1. Launch Catalogs > Learning Program.
  2. Use the radio buttons to choose if you want to view all courses or courses with unselected instances. Note that if you've has completed the course already, you cannot switch to another instance.
  3. The instance drop-down list for the course displays the available instances. Choose the instance from the drop-down list.
  4. To apply the selected instance, click Update Enrollment. The Update Enrollment option is available on the top-right hand corner of the page.

 

The newly selected instance is enrolled. 

 

Note: If a learner is enrolled to a course instance which is a part of another Learning Object and the progress for the learner is In Progress or Not Started, and he/she updates the course instance which is a part of the flexible Learning Program, he/she is automatically be unenrolled from the other Learning Objects after a warning.
