How to set up multiple classroom instances

We are in the early stages of implementing Captivate Prime.

We run a large amount of repeat classroom-based training. As an example, we might have a session that runs every Monday at 14:00-15:00. We want to create 52 iterations of that session, for each Monday of the year. When a user views the system, they can view all the sessions for the remainder of the year and chose which one suits them best.

What is the best method of setting this up in terms of course, module, instance etc? We're having some difficulty understanding exactly what we should be setting up at which level.

Any guidance would be great.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting Adobe Captivate Prime Team.

We create instances of a course to schedule the same course at different time and date. The only catch here is the users must be different in each instance. Once a user is enrolled in one instance of a course, he/she can not be enrolled in another instance of the same course.

So if you want to conduct the same session every Monday, kindly create an instance for each session inside the course and let the user decide which one to enrol in.

You can contact us our team using the details in the link as well. https://helpx.adobe.com/in/contact/enterprise-support.other.html#captivate-prime.

Kindly let me know if any further assistance is required.
Hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks for coming back to me. So to clarify, if we had a Health and Safety induction and someone booked on an instance on Monday 3rd August, but then didn't attend for whatever reason, they couldn't then enrol on the next instance on 10th August?

Hi,

Glad to hear from you.

Yes, they can. They need to un-enrol themselves from the current instance and re-enrol into the other instance to attend that session. One user can not be enrolled in multiple instances of the same course at the same time.

Either this can be done by the Administrator or the user.

If you want the user to do it themselves, then you have to enable the option for the users to unenroll themselves in a course. Below screenshot shows the setting in a course.
