We are in the financial industry and thus have plenty of annual compliance courses to assign.
Our annual compliance course requirements vary by department.
I have identified groups based on custom fields from our Active Directory for these assignments (essentially departments).
However we do not assign the full compliance load to temporary/contractors (they instead get a very basic set of courses)
I cannot figure out how to exclude... ?
- assign to everyone in the Accounting group except to anyone who is also in the contractor group.
If I cannot exclude how do I assign if they belong to 2 or more groups?
- assign to everyone in the Accounting group who is also in the full time employee group.

We currently do not have the feature to exclude a group while settings up a learning plan.
The product team is working on the feature request raised for this and hopefully, this feature will be added to Prime soon.
Alternatively, you can manually enrol users to a course using the enrol option and exclude the user group there.
The below screenshot can show the options.
