Hi all,

Does anybody know whether I can publish to a web site and use added user variables and systems variables which can then be extracted using Google Analytics?

Is this possible?

Cheers

Erika

It is possible to do so when you're hand coding a website, but since Captivate packages everything for you, I wouldn't be certain that you would have the right level of control to implement Google's analytics.js coding. You can read more about it here, Single Page Application Tracking  |  Analytics for Web (analytics.js)  |  Google Developers . This page is specifically referencing single-page usage since everything you see in a published Captivate file is delivered via a single page.

Typically an LMS would take care of most of the reporting of an online course/training. But, something you could look into is using SCORM Cloud's dispatch service. It's really meant to allow you to upload content to SCORM Cloud and then link from another LMS back to SCORM cloud, but it would be worth contacting them to see if it would also work directly from a standard website.

Thanks so much Cozmicone and I'm very sorry for the delay as I have been away.

Hi Erika,

I am also looking to solve this problem. Did you get anything regarding variable value storing and displaying on Google Analytics?

Any help on this topic would greatly help.

Cheers,

Sid
