I am importing a PPT to Captivate 2019. I've added alt tags to the images in PPT. Once I import the PPT to Captivate, will these alt tags appear in the published Captivate file?

PPT import is not one of the best featuers of Captivate. I never use it. Each PPT slide is converted to a sort of movie slide which tries to mimick all the animations created in PPT. But you do not have the invidual objects, reason why you cannot tag them at all. Much better to unzip the PPT file, extract the assets, import them to a project Library in Captivate and create from scratch. Only way to have full control.
