UPDATE (3/15/2021): We've made some changes in the backend. Should you see the erro rmessage, restart Captivate. Meanwhile we are working on this issue.
Many Captivate users reported issues in opening and saving files on March 9th and then reported the disappearance of the issue on March 10th. The issue appears to have been triggered by updates to the Microsoft Operating System.

We've released a build that addresses issues with Adobe Captivate (2019 release) on macOS Big Sur (macOS 11).
Note: This is a certified build.
We'd like your feedback, which will help us immensely as we work on the production update, which we shall release soon.

Install the build
Pre-requisite: Uninstall the existing version of Captivate (2019 release).
Download the build. and double-click the dmg file. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Does Captivate (2019 release) work on M1 chipset?
No, Captivate (2019 release) DOES NOT work on machines with M1 chipset.
We are working on this.

Does Captivate work on Big Sur?
If you launch Captivate (2019 release) on macOS Big Sur (macOS 11), the project editor becomes unusable.
We are working on making Captivate (2019 release) to be compatible with Big Sur.

How to update
- Windows: Ensure that Captivate 18.104.22.168 or 22.214.171.1246 or 126.96.36.1996 or 188.8.131.529 build version is already installed.
- macOS: Ensure that Captivate 184.108.40.2063 build version is already installed.
Launch Captivate anc click Help > Check for Updates.
After updating, restart Captivate and verify the builds:
- Windows: 220.127.116.113
- macOS: 18.104.22.1686

A couple of months ago, in Captivate, there was an issue of VR content not playing on devices. The issue was due to a few core libraries that were deprecated.
We are now pleased to announce that we’ve released a Hotfix to address the issue. This Hotfix is applicable to Adobe Captivate (2019 release) with build number 22.214.171.1249 on Windows.
If you are not already on build number 126.96.36.1999, update your copy of Captivate.
