Cannot change order of master slides

I am trying to change the order of the master slides in the master view, but can only move the first slide down by one. All the other slides seem to be locked in place. I can drag the slides to a different spot, but when I try to drop them at the selected location, they jump back to the original location. Is there a trick on how I can achieve this? I can change the order of any slides in the filmstrip view without a problem. I am using Captivate 2019, 11.0.1.266, and my project is responsive using fluid boxes.

Thanks for your help

Indeed, I discovered this annoying loss of functionaltiy when coaching a training for CP2019 end of August. If my memory is correct (only have CP2019) it was always possible to rearrange the sequence of content master slides (not quiz master slides) in the Master slide panel. I used that to have the most used master slides on top of the list, a recommendation I often gave to trainees and during consultancy  jobs. No longer possible, it is not the only functionality that has been lost. I did log a bug report, but have little hope that it ever will be fixed, since you are the first one to mention that bug in this forum.  If something is only discovered by the 'unhappy few' it will never make it to the top of the priority list.  New hype features that are spotted by the majority are more important, which is understandable. But it doesn't solve our frustrations.

I often find workarounds, but here it is difficult. I try to  keep the number of master slides as low as possible, start for a custom theme with the bare-bone Blank theme (has only the compulsory 6 master slides) and try to set the content master slides in the most appropriate sequence for my way of working (Title master not as first, you only use it a couple of times at the most).

Still the same issue in 11.5.1.499 sadly. You can only change the order of the first three master slides, but try moving a slide to or from later positions and it's a no go.  Like @Lilybri I'm  teach people to put the most used slide designs at the top. I really wish Adobe would take some time to fix this issue, as it slows down production work.

Please post a bug report, only way to have a chance to get this useful feature back. If no one asks about it, will never happen. Here a link to the form:

I just ran into this issue. Copy the slide that you want to move and paste to the location desired and then delete the original. It's not pretty, but it works.

You can rearrange custom master slides.  I do never use copy/paste when it can be avoided, but you can duplicate any master slide (even one  of the theme, even the quizzing master slides) and rearrange the duplicates. Will not expand on the possible copy/paste issues....

Still unable to reorder master slides after about 15 or 16 master slides. We use numerous master slides to assist instructional designers with setting navigation. Submitted bug report. Keeping my fingers crossed, but not holding my breath. 😕  It seems to have been around since 2019. Sigh.

With the number of masters we have, even duplicated (and copy/paste) don't move after 15 or 16 slides.
