Hello all,
I am using Vimeo's embed code to place a web-object within Captivate.
I've tried this through the SCORM Cloud to account for server issues, same result.
I am willing to be there will be a fair amount of people still trying to use IE for these materials.
How can i get a work-around to this?
Thank you!
HOLY COW ! ! ! !
Vimeo embedding now works in IE 11!!!!!!
Vimeo went through their support tickets and found the error i submitted and FIXED IT.
Vimeo now works in all browsers.

The most likely reason for this is that Vimeo is using some feature that your chosen version of IE does not support, but the other browsers do.
I would suggest you search the Vimeo website for suggestions on why this might be occurring with IE. Ping their support desk if possible. If you have a Vimeo license then you should be able to get support.
Have you checked in the browser console to see what errors it is throwing up? If not, sending a screenshot of those errors might help the coding experts on this forum know what the problem is.

I have a ticket open to Vimeo... waiting for results there.
- Vimeo forum is more instructions than help.
Checking browser console next, thanks for the suggestion!

IE Console error brings the following 4 rows / messages:
SCRIPT5009: 'WeakMap' is undefined
player.js (2,26609)
SCRIPT445: Object doesn't support this action

It looks like IE is not supporting some of the JavaScript being used by Vimeo.
You can see similar errors here:

I opened a support ticket with Vimeo.
They are aware this is an issue, and are "working on it"
There is no estimated time to fix this issue, says Vimeo.

I think you should consider it a very strong possibility that Vimeo has very little real interest in fixing a problem for a browser that is fast becoming redundant in the mainstream. Vimeo's main market would not likely be the kind of companies that are still using IE as their browser of choice. The cost of fixing an issue for IE is not likely to be worth it for them. Most people that they cater to would simply install another Microsoft browser (e.g. Edge) or use Chrome.
I hope I am wrong, but I think you would be wise not to hold your breath for that fix.

This is one of those times when I am glad to be wrong!
