Captivate demo won't launch on new Parallels Mac VM

I'm evaluating Captivate to see if it'll meet our needs (or at least trying to). I installed it on a new VM (using Parallels) so I'm starting from a clean slate.

Installation went fine, but program will not launch. Here are the error details.

When I look at the requirements, I don't see that a virtual machine is supported... so I am surprised that it even installed

Mac requirement for the installer is 10.9, I'm running 10.13.6. You'd be hard pressed to find any software that listed VM support or not.

An OS, whether running on metal or virtual, should not make a difference as it presents the same to the software. I don't like installing software directly on my system until I know how it behaves and commit to it. When trying out, if run inside a virtual machine I can easily revert to a clean state when finished and I know the software hasn't left anything behind, changed system settings, etc. I have never had an issue running software inside a VM as long the VM is given enough resources, which this one was.

But, to your credit I ended up installing it directly and that worked. So maybe you have something there, though as I said this would be my first time not getting something to run inside a VM.
