Captivate vs Captivate Prime or Both?

I am new to creating elearning and I am trying to sourcewhich is the best program to purchase for my orgisation.  I like the sound of both of the above applications however based on my internet readings of late I am lost as to whether I need both for full functionality or whether I can I use one vs the other?

Those are two totally different tools: Adobe Captivate is an eLearning authoring tool, which means it is used to create eLearning courses that can report to a LMS if you want.
