How can a third party (customer) track the result of a captivate project with a quiz (CBT), of all its employees, using an internal server? Note, the third party does not have a captivate account, but they want to instal the project in their servers. Any ideas? Thanks.

Your question is not clear, If I'm not mistaken you are looking for a solution of deploying courses in your third party server but those courses should be accessible in your internal system (LMS may be).

Yes, that is possible, but it has nothing to do with captivate, you need to do this integration in your LMS. I did this before and it worked.

Alfredmack, thanks for replying. No, I am looking for a solution for a

customer that does not have an LMS and wants to host the e-learning in

their internal server. In other words, they will buy the e-learning, place

it in their own server and I will not control it.

First you don't need Adobe captivate license to run LMS as long as you have courses in place. For that case your customer doesn't need Adobe captivate license, what you have to ensure is the LMS your subscribing/developing is SCORM /xAPI (any other) compliant.

I'm not sure if I have answered your question

thanks again for your input. I am guessing I am not explaining myself

properly. My customer does not have an LMS, so the problem is how will they

track who completes and passes the CBT?

Simple answer is that you won't be able to track your user's results without LMS. Get open source LMS in case you do not have budget for it, unless you have programming knowledge to implement results tracking in your own way.

The only option other than an actual LMS would be writing out the data to your own internal file or database. You could also write it out to Google Sheets. This would require programming knowledge.

I would suggest to your client that they think about installing Moodle LMS on their internal server.

Moodle - Open-source learning platform | Moodle.org

It's free software because it is open-source, but used by thousands of institutions around the world.

Their internal server would need to support PHP and MySQL but if they are willing to implement Moodle it can often be installed within an hour or less on a server.  I would not personally recommend Captivate's Internal Server reporting option as that still requires PHP to work but is far more limited than using something like Moodle.

Hi Rod, thanks for your input. I really like your suggestion, this might be

the quick solution for them.
