Hi dear Captivate fellow workers!

On a specific slide, I'd lke to hide the paybar until the learner clicks on a specififc button (which then reveals the playbar).

I've done the following:

- slide properties - on enter "toggle" variable "cpCmndShowPlaybar" value 0

- on this specific button "show playbar"

When getting to the slide, the playbar is actually hidden, but the animation does not start. The slide is like "paused".

Do you know why?

Thanks!

Céline

There is an easy  'Hide Playbar' as well, not really necessary to use the older approach witht he system variable (I will use it for a toggle button).

It looks like you need to learn something about the Timeline:

Pausing Captivate's Timeline - Captivate blog

Did you use an advanced action to toggle the system variable?  Check if the playhead is paused by inserting the system variable cpInfoCurrentFrame on that slide.

If you did use a simple action, check if the otption 'Continue Playing the Project' is checked.
