We have a request to get the status from the player as a learner is watching a video. We get the slide status reporting properly to the LRS, but the player status doesn't report.
I've tried a locally hosted video and a you tube video with no luck.
Is there a setting or something that enables this reporting?
You didn't get any answer yet, probably because the question is not at all clear.
Video is by definition 'PASSIVE'. Normally you can transfer information about interactivities to any LMS by its Interactivity ID. Since video is passive, you will need to add an item which is interactive and can be reported. Not sure what you want.
What we are looking for is an event when the user interacts with the controls for the video playback. When they hit pause we'd like an event reported to the LRS, Play, FF, stop.
We've had some issues with a discrepency between the amount of time it should take for a training and the actual time. This data would allow us to idenfity the issue.
