Is there a way to create a Knowledge Check - when an incorrect answer is selected it links you back to the slide where the content for that question is covered? Once they have reviewed the content it takes the learner forward in the training to the slide after the Knowledge Check where they left off.

FInally I found some time to double-check. Remediation works also for KC slides. I created a sample project, and will write out the workflow step-by-step in a blog. Check the published file (I also added scores to the KC slides, but you can leave that out for your use case):

Do you also need real Quiz slides in the same course or not? I was thinking about the Remediation feature, but am not sure that it works for Knowledge Check sldies... would need to explore. Anyway I could propose a solution, but would be easier with Remediation.

Sorry that I didn't answer yet.  I need to double-check in a test project if the workflow I have in mind is functioning. It probably will be tomorrow, have been too busy today. (I am on CET).
