Marking a course complete

Hi,

I'm developing a compliance course that includes scenarios. We're not required to quiz our learners, so the scenarios they complete aren't set up as a quiz. I have some optional scenarios they can complete and those slides are at the end of the course. All scenarios have branching, so the learner isn't viewing all of the slides within a scenario.

Question: How do I get the course to mark complete once they reach the "completed" slide since there are slides after it (and they aren't viewing some of the scenario slides before it)? Is it possible to assign points to a slide?

Thanks,

Kristen

You cannot assign points to a slide, but you can assign a score to any interactive object. Put a button on that slide, which everyone will visit at the end of the compulsory part (not the optional), and give it a score. In the SCORM Criterion you can request a 'score' for the quiz equal to the score of that button, or 100%. No need for a score slide.

Lieve,

This worked for me. I assigned points to my clickboxes/buttons and then used points in my quiz score to report completion to the LMS. Thank you for your quick reply.

Lieve,

This worked great in one course, but in another course, it's only reporting 12 or 13 points to the LMS and they need 24 points to mark complete. I had 3 users out of 18 mark complete with scores of 25 and 26.

I've checked all my buttons and clickboxes and they are reporting their scores and are included in the total. Do you know why it's not reporting all of the points?

Can you insert a text container with the system variable cpQuizInfoPointsscored, and time it for the rest of the project? Check if that score is updated as expected.

You also need to check the Advanced Interaction panel, to check all attributed scores. Here is a blog explaining the importance of that rather unknown panel:
