I am playing around with the new chroma key video demo to create "talking head" videos. The process of recording itself works fine, but no audio is recorded. Recording audio onto a regular slide via Audio/Record to Slide works fine. Am I missing something, or is there some setting I need to check to get the audio to record during Video Demo?
Ugh, I'm an idiot.. Found the control for turning on narration is also on the Video Demo setup screen. It would be nice to have that on by default

I looked around and found there is a Narration checkbox under Preferences/Recording. I checked it and re-recorded- still no sound. When I go back into the Preferences, that box is unchecked. May be time for a Preferences dump...

Indeed, you need to check it before starting the recording. I use it
routine the visual part, later replace the draft audio by a better audio
clip which I record in Audition. Take into account the timing of the draft
audio, eventually changed due to trimming or insertion of static objects
in the video part.
