Publish Fails with HTML5 in Captivate 2019

I am trying to publish an existing .cptx file in Captivate 2019, and it is consistently failing in the Optimizing Content popup. It can sit here for hours without succeeding. It will eventually say publication fails. I took several steps including a new file trying to publish (same error every time), changing the file name, changing the file location on my hard drive, clearing the cache, etc.

OptimizingContent2.jpg

  1. I ran CleanPreferences under the Utils folder
  2. Deleted all projects in the cache folder
  3. Published to a directory on my local drive
  4. Published to a different directory on my computer
  5. Published the file with a different name

Things I can’t do:

  • Run as Administrator due to corporate security
  • Run an update, this is admin-only

Was going to ask about the exact version number, as you can find under Help, About Captivate. It may be an unpatched version, for 11.0 or 11.5.

There was a bug patch released soon after that one, which updated to 11.5.1.499. Is there really no way to update to that one? No guarantee but your release had some serious bugs.
