Hey so im pretty new to captivate and am trying to create a custom slide with a multiple choice question on it. I have a page layout that i realy want to keep, but it made it before implementing the quiz. So now i just have a text box with the question and 3 buttons as the answers. I would now like to tell captivate which button is correct and what buttons are wrong and have that be reportet through scorm just like with a normal quizslide. Is that possible? All help is greatly appreciatet.

Since you are so new, would strongly recommend to use first the default quiz slides, before trying to create a custom quiz slide which needs mastering and understanding variables, advanced/shared actions, interactive object, quizzing sysstem variables or if you wish JavaScript. Why complicate? Of course it is possible, have plenty of examples of quiz slides on my blog.
Default quiz slides are based on specific master slides which have a lot of embedded objects. You can edit the master slide to have some design changes. Have written about 100 pages only about quizzing, without starting with the custom quiz slides.

Thanks alot for your fast response. I will definitly check your stuff out. The reason why i want to get into custom quiz slides is because i do this as a studemt job for my dads company and the client needs a whole lot of courses with kinda specific slides. So my job right now is also to get to know the ins and outs of captivate. So the predefined quizslides don't realy help me much.

I am a trainer, as well for newbies as for advanced users. Of course it is your choice, but as a professor and trainer since decades your approach is not good IMO. You don't learn the ins and outs of flying an airplane by jumping into it before you understand the dashboatd. Apparently what master slides exactly mean is a mystery for you as well.
These are the eseential basics for each newbie.... and I'll will not bother you anymore after this post:
