SVG files are swapped and displayed incorrectly

In my file, SVGs are constantly being swapped or misrepresented. Again and again, instead of the right SVG graphics the wrong ones are displayed. I can watch it, how they change on the screen, right in front of me. They are replaced on stage as if by magic and jump back and forth.

Where is the cause? How can I change or fix that?

I know SVGs don't always end up being a good solution for graphics in Captivate, but I haven't witnessed this particular behaviour.

Could you tell us:

  • Are you working on CPTX files that are located on your local computer hard drive or that are stored on a network drive?
  • Are the SVGs also located on a local drive or did you insert them into your project from a network location?

On a local computer (PC) and they are stared on this computer. Not in a network drive. They are on a local drive.

Did you check in the Library if the correct SVG is linked with the slide?

Not really. The behavior is like that. When I open a slide, the right SVG is displayed for a few seconds. After a few seconds some other SVG from the project will be put in place. Sometimes it will change back to the right SVG after a few seconds. Sometimes not. If I then go to another slide and back again, it may then be displayed correctly again.

When I publish the project, the right SVGs are embedded in the right place.

I have also seen the behavior with other users.

How the content behaves when delivered to end users is the most important aspect.  If the content behaves as expected after being published and delivered from a web server I would not be too worried.  However, if the SVGs are not appearing to be correct in Captivate Edit mode then you should report this as a bug to Adobe using their reporting form: Adobe Captivate

Did you check in the Library if the correct SVG is linked with the slide? I always import the SVG's first to the Library ((like I do with most assets)and drag them to the slide from there
