Terrible display (captivate 9) when zoomed out during editing

I've had a lot of great years with the earlier versions of Captivate (1, 3, 4, 5) and have recently moved to Captivate 9. So far, YIKES!

I use Captivate to create software "how to" videos - I record the screen, then go back in to tweak captions, add audio, etc. One of the things that is making me crazy is the fact that when I zoom out, the recording becomes so blurry I can barely tell what's what! Yet when I zoom in to 100%, I can see everything clearly.

Is there anything I can do about this?

Thanks so much for any help/advice.

Captured screens are always at their most crisp when viewed at 100%.  That has always been the case.

Thanks, but no, this is new to me. I worked extensively in Captivate 1, 3, 4, and 5, and I've never seen the display look so bad. I'd

really like to believe there's something I can do to get it to work as well as it used to. I can't be the only person out there who has an issue with this... can I?
