Hello,

I'm new to adobe captivate and still trying to learn. The problem I'm experiencing is that I cannot open a file and the template I downloaded from the Adobe webiste (league), and I'm stuck with this project.

The message received is:

Adobe Captivate could not open "files_2020_06_League_45.cptx." Ensure that:

-the file is not open already.

-the file is not damaged.

-the hard disk has sufficient resources.......

Has anyone experience this issue before and can perhaps share some information on how to fix this.

Thank you.

Gabby

It is not a template file (cptl) but a normal CPTX-file like all Quick Start Projects.

You could have that message if you are not working with the most recent version. Are you on 11.5.1 (Windows) or 11.5.4 (Mac)?

Is this happening with all the Quick Start Projects? Some are rather big, sure that your system's features are sufficient? Can you insert individual slides from the QSPs?

Can you start a new project?

I'm using windows 10.

I can open a CPTX-file from the resource option but this project requires me to use  league

files_2020_06_League_45 (1) )

and I cannot open it to start creating my eLearning Modules.

I was asking for the Captivate version....Look for the complete number under Help, About Capt

You didn't answer the other questions neither. From the file name it looks like this file has already been used once (the number). Please answer my questions if you really want help.

The captivate Version is 11.0.0.243.

I apologize, this is so new to me. No, it is only happenning when trying to open league or the module my coworker already completed.

I can insert slides and start a new project.

Start by installing the bug patch. You should use 11.5.1.499. Use Help, Update.
