Videos not playing in Chrome or Safari

I'm using Captivate 2017 and working on a project for a client who wants videos (MP4) in the course. We have found that the videos will not autoplay when viewing the course in Chrome or Safari but will in Edge.

I know there is a fix that requires replacing of a file or something but it appeared that there were mixed results. I'm wondering if there is a more sure fix to this issue. We would really like to add event videos that autoplay. Thanks in advance.

This is likely simply due to the browser settings; most browsers do not allow autoplay of MP4s, especially if they contain audio.

You can try this - publish your CP projects as MP4 but *without* an audio track.

Do they autoplay from the server now?

If so, that's the issue

Here's a thread about this setting and possible ways to work around it:
