When I tried to use Starter Mode, it did NOT give me the triggers or take me to the second screen after I finished the recording. I also tried it with just importing my own audio. When I went to reset the workspace to "perform" the it showed the triggers, but they were all grayed out and could not get dropped into the timeline. I'm using a MacBook Air (M1, 2020), chip Apple M1, 8 gb of RAM, and Monterey Version 12.3. Any help you can provide is appreciated. Thanks!

Could you post screenshot(s) of the problem state to help us diagnose?

Seems to be working now on the default ones, that got fixed. So thank you!! But won't work on all the ones that are imported with triggers and that are not part of the CH available puppets.

For not showing triggers: the issue here may be that not all puppets are optimized for Starter mode, and won't work as expected.
Our example Starter mode puppets all have been set up to be based around one triggerable swap set for a simpler timeline experience, whereas many exiting Pro puppets may have multiple triggers and swap sets. And not everyone has set up a Controls Panel for their puppet in Pro mode, which is why you may not see the icons appearing on the right for every puppet.
My question to you would be: what should we do here? What do you want? For example:
Would love to hear your feedback here.

I say keep importing open, and show us how to optimize puppets Pro puppets, and the ones we create.

Unfortunately - still issues with the default Start Mode puppets behaving correctly. This one the camera will not disappear. The second screen will not appear to be able to play. Had to go back to the default "Reset to Perform" to get the triggers to show up. The record will won't go away either.

Thanks for documenting - yeah, you should not be able to see a view like this, where it is basically mixing the recording and editing steps. So am I correct that in this case you recorded audio, pressed stop recording, and then saw this screen? Or did you get to it some other way?

I'm getting confirmation this is a known issue when the camera doesn't seem to be working / tracking anything, it gets confused. We're working on ways to solve it. For now, I would try to select a different camera if possible (from the settings gear icon) or close down all other programs to make sure the webcam isn't busy being used for another program.

Yes, I recorded the audio. Stopped recording. Then I went to record the face, but there was no facial recognition. I could hit record and it moved across the timeline, but nothing. Then, I had to get back to the perform default menu to see the triggers. But, they are grayed out.

Still having issues on the MacBook Air, but EVERYTHING seems to be functioning as it should on my Surface Studio. Maybe this is a Mac related bug that needs to be sorted?

Yes, it sounds like for some reason you're camera isn't working as expected on the Mac. Ideally, we need to do a better job of detecting if a camera is working or not and warn the user and give them solutions to fix it.
Is it working in normal Pro mode CH, but not Starter, or is the camera not working at all inside CH on the Mac anymore?

The camera works in normal Pro mode on the Mac. No issues at all.

The camera seems to finally be working now in Mac OS Monterey. Thanks so much for getting this sorted!! Can't wait to really try it out & use it.
