I cant start a project with character animator 2023 HELP

I just downloaded the program and I'm using it in the free mode, but when I try to start a project, a message appears and then nothing happens. Can someone help me

It's hard to tell what's going on from the message, but the program is trying to access your cloud drive, which it can't do very well. Try holding down the CTRL key when starting to get it to access the local drive.

I have the same issue with the character animator 2023. When I go to file and click on new project, nothing happens. I need help with this please. Never experienced it on the previous versions.
