Hi,
I have a Master scene that is comprised of separate scenes (opening title, main scene and then outro). The transition between each scene right now is choppy as the master scene just cuts directly from one scene to the next. Id like for there to be a brief black screen in between each scene. Any advice on how to add this effect between each nested scene?
thanks!!

Personally I render each scene to a video file separately, then use Prem pro transitions to do things like that.
if you want it in ch, you could create a "puppet" which is a black square larger than the screen, then use key frames to animate the opacity... never tried it but should work...

I agree with Alan. I always bring my characters into Premiere. You can import the actual Character Animator project, and select the exact scene that you want to import, then you can add transitions, edit cuts, add backgrounds, music, scale the puppet, and composite scenes. The best part about it.... is if you want to make changes... you can go back to Photoshop or Character Animator, make a change, click Save, and Voila! The premiere file is updated too and ready to export!
This is the correct and best way to work. Or try Alan's option B, or import a JPEG or Photoshop file with a black layer, and keyframe the opacity.
Enjoy the process.
