Hello everyone.

If I have a character, is it possible to animate its head using "character animator" and its body using "after effects(DUIK)"? Thank you.

I think I answered you on YouTube as well, but the answer is yes! I would just animate the head in CH, dynamic link or export that to AE, and do the body separately in DUIK.

I tried to dynamic link to AE, but the character wasn't transferred as a group of layers, It was like a picture. Is it supposed to be like this or am I doing something wrong?

Thank you.

It is transferred as a bitmap image. So yiu are doing the right thing (and do scaling before you transfer it if you can rather than scaling up in AE).

Yes, Alan is right - dynamic link will show your CH file like a single piece of video footage with transparency. So I usually keep my CH scenes to just a single puppet and add other stuff like backgrounds, foregrounds, etc in AE. Here's how I composite: https://youtu.be/VhCKD5vl848?t=3529
