Background in reverse

I set up my background to move and my character to walk in place, but it looks like my character is walking backwards. How can I change that to have the background move in the right direction?

Have you tried setting the walk speed to a negative number?

I feel dumb. I was setting the body speed to a negative and not step speed. Thank you
