Since Character Animator 2023 and also in 2024 I have the following problem: When I calculate the head movement from speech, the animation is not smooth but jerky. In CA 2022 the animation was fluid. How can I fix the problem? In 2023 and 2024 I have the same settings as in 2022.

Is it jerky in playback in Character Animator or on export? Could the preview just be stuttering? If the timecode is showing in orange then that means it's not showing in real time and can be the cause.

I have a high-end PC here. The animation is not smooth in real time, nor after export. As already mentioned, the problem exists only since 2023 version. In the 2022 version everything is super smooth.
When I control the character with the camera, the problem also exists. No fluid movements. No matter how I change the parameters. The same parameters in the 2022 version and everything is great.

Could the frame rate of the scene have changed by any chance? That could make it look choppier.

No. That's not the problem. 24 fps.
When I load the old 2022 project file in 2024, everything is smooth.
The "Calculate head movement from speech" function is also much (!) faster to calculate in the 2023 and 2024 than in the 2022 version. It is an indication that not enough data points are being created. Therefore no more fluid movement.
I see there are more people here on the forum with the problem. It seems to be a bug.

No worries. Sorry I couldn't be of any help. Hopefully it gets sorted out in newer versions. 🤞
