Camera tracking laggy and slow - lip sync impossible

Hi, 
the camera is laggy when it goes through Character Animator. 
I can see it's slower than usual and it is also laggy compared to the charater in general. 
The most obvious result is the lip sync being completely unusable.
Are there any settings I can use? I might missing something. 
(my computer has the basic requirements)

Lipsync is mainly driven by audio, not camera (except smile and surprised). How busy is the computer (what load is on it)? E.g. virus scanning when it kicks in kills performance on my laptop. (But its a very hard question to answer as it depends on so many things.)

Hi! 
The microphone is an external one and it should be quite good. The thing is I can see the camera's laggy in the small camera window too. It's like the program's not getting a real time video. 
I tried everything, including turning off everything else. The performaces in the task manager are quite high but it's not unberable for my pc. 
I just think I'm missing something. Is there any settings I could add to make the microphone performance better, if you think it's that?

Is your microphone attached to a wired or bluetooth headset? CH cannot handle BT in real time (though the audio is recordered accurately).
