CH won't start

Since the new update...I seem to have to reboot my PC every time I want to load CH. It doesn't give me any error or do anything if I try to open it as user or admin. Does not even seem to try to open the program. This is from both start menu and Adobe creative cloud app

If you open task manager, can you find a Character Animator process running? It might be listed under the Creative Cloud app if it is getting stuck early in the launch sequence.

My best guess as to the cause of this problem is that a previous instance of Character Animator is wedged. If you find such a process, I'd suggest three things:

- use task manager (via right click) to create a dump file for the process

- take note of whether the process is busy or idle (whether the CPU/disk activity columns are 0)

- kill the process and try launching it again
