character animator: head wont go left or right

hi I am new to character animator. I have imported my template and the head wont go left or right just back and forth I was wondering how to fix this problem

Hi. Could you provide a bit more info on what you mean by left/right vs back/forth? Screen shots can help. Eg are you talking about profiles? Or the web cam? have you done any rigging of the puppet that may restrict movements? (Like pins and sticks)
