Distortion (esp. in eyes) whenever I try to use Head Turner

Every time I try to make a character from scratch with head turns, I am getting all this distortion in the face, especially in the eye area but I can tell there's something going on all over. I am supplying a link for a download for a puppet file that I have been working on. I am new to Character Animator, so if anyone has any idea what I'm doing wrong here I'd greatly appreciate the help.

I think the problem is you have a layer called "Head Background". Because there is a space, it tags that background layer with "Head". I think some behaviors are latching onto that. I removed the "Head" tags by hand, then made the eyes and mouth independent on all profiles, and it started working fine.

You could rename the layer "Head_Background" for example.
