Here are a few suggestions, but can you explain the problem a bit more? I cannot see any distortion of the face.

  • I suggest reducing the Head Position Strength of the Face behavior to say zero (or 5) so the head does not move away from the neck so far.
  • Your Left Eye has more independent layers in it than I would recommend. If everything is independent, there is no artwork in a mesh for children to attach to, which can cause problems. My recommendations of independence for eyes is in this blog post.

Could you "export puppet" from the menu and share that? That includes the rigging information. Or if you prefer, share a screenshot of the rigging hierarchy. The AI file alone does not have all the rigging information.

There are other ways of doing it, but that is what I do: https://extra-ordinary.tv/2018/04/21/debugging-character-animator-eyess/ (e.g. I make the Pupil child independent, but nothing else).
  • On the Head layer you added 3 handles for Left Eyebrow, Right Eyebrow, and Nose. I would delete them all. If you look at the Face behavior, you can see what layers it bound to, and it was those handles instead of the artwork for eyes. (The path should have AR/Head/Left Eyebrow in it, not AR/Head:Left Eyebrow (the ":" means its a handle or similar, not a sublayer).
  • You don't need to make all the child layers of Mouth independent. The Mouth being independent is enough. As soon as you see a layer that is independent with *all* children independent, it is most likely wrong. (In this case it won't hurt I think, but its weird.)

If you can explain the problem you are trying to fix I can have a look at that specific area.
