How to animate all body parts separately to make a character climb a rope?

i dont see any options to animate body parts individually. Ofcourse i do get to control the arms and legs using the drager behaviour. But i want more than that in order for me to make the character do some complex animation such as climbing a rope. How do i move the character's body? I tried putting a drager on the body but it did not drag the body. it just pulls the arms or the legs only. Also i do want to be able to manually adjust the head poses using my mouse to precisely rotate and pose the head as well.

It is easier to animate to any pose in software like Crazy Talk Animator or the latest version called Cartoon Animator by Reallusion.

I really hope there is a way to achive this in Adobe Character Animator. If there is one there can anyone guide me or link me to some tutorials or reference on how i can achieve this? Many thanks to anyone who can solve this.

Aside from dragging, you can use Triggers and replays. So I just created an animation of a character lifting its knees up and then touching the lifted knee with the opposite arm. So i used the dragger to drag the arms to the knee, and I used a trigger key to play a cycle of images I created in Photoshop. So with a trigger I can press a key to SHOW a hidden layer or to cycle thru a bunch of layers similar to an Animated GIF, but I can repeat it simply by pressing a key on the keyboard that you set up for Instant repeated animation just with a simple click. This could be used to make your character climb a rope... or you can just drag his arms and legs to Mimic climbing, and then do a simple tween the character from bottom to top in Premiere. So you have the motion of him moving up in Premiere, and the cycle of arms and legs moving... or you can use the Y axis under Transform to record him moving him up the rope in Character Animator.

Hope that helps!
