How to go from photoshop to character animator?

I have followed a tutorial on how to make a puppet in photoshop but i dont know how to get that into character animator, when i look at online tutorials they all skip that step. One cite said to save/export as a puppet file but i cant find how to do that. How do i go from photoshop to character animator?

Save the psd file to disk from photoshop, then start up character animator and use file/import to load the file. This will create a "puppet" in character animator which you then flesh out with rigging. To share the puppet with rigging with someone else, you use file/export puppet.
